On Her Nest

This mother goose was rather alarmed by my presence in spite of the fact I was doing my best to be still and keep my distance. Her mate was honking and strutting back and forth guarding her and making quite a fuss so I worked fairly quickly and got out of the vicinity to give them their privacy. What was interesting though was the way this goose had built her nest so near a pedestrian walkway. It must have been a trying time for her while she was waiting for those eggs to hatch.
