So well done Holly. Exposures and post processing is perfect....which it appears is your goal.
I was raised in the country and around farms. I live in North Georgia, USA. Ellijay, in Gilmer county, boasts itself to be the apple capital of the world?! Love the pictures. Followed a link from Monica Smidt's website
Watch the Light site
I wished to send a note to you expressing my appreciation of your work. Simply wonderful. I love the elegance and simplicity. To me this is the sign of a true artist. I hope to reach that goal myself in time.
Wow, I love still lifes. Photos and paintings. Your art is amazing and breath takingly wonderful. Your ability to capture the light and give your work that "old" feeling. Like I am stepping into the world of the old masters. I admire and long for your talent. Truly you inspire me!

...looking at your work I am reduced to humming sounds, as when eating food or enjoying other marvelous activities...words seem pitifully inadequate.
We are glad you are here.
a drop of poetry
My name is Samantha, I'm Italian but I currenlty live in Prague. I found your website by chance and I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your works. I don't know much about photography, but I love to paint in my free time and I really find your still-life shots inspiring. They just enlighten everyday life (which is so dull at times) with magic atmospheres and a drop of delicate poetry. Simply beautiful.

Holly ... I love your work ... It's just so simply beautiful and very strong. I emailed you from Red Bubble and forgot to ask what camera and lens do you favor for your still life images? I am a big FAN. Not a lot of people appreciate SL images.

Looking at your work from the bubble
Hi, just popped onto your site again to see your lovely new pictures - your sure have a great eye for those textures and colour combinations.
I also noticed that your link to my site is the old one. That site doesn't work anymore so you need to point the link to www.hardhhhat.com instead :) I have just updated it with the night Zurich pictures and a new shot of Sam wearing an old pair of my glasses.... :)
Later my friend,
outstanding site well done
RE Your images
Just came across your images on redbubble and then to your website. Love your images especially the flowers, they are fantastic. I see that most of Canada is in a deep freeze right now..while we down here in Australia are warming up! Cheers Berni
I hope you and your family are well, i was looking at your new images, you are an amazing photographer, i hope 2009 will be a fantastic year for you..
Best wishes from accross the pond.
Well, I'm late for work but had to drop a line. I spent some time on your redbubble images, and had to take a peak at your site.. I'll have to come back again... I am taken aback by the sheer perfectness of the work... Lighting, subject matter, composition, and clarity.... Well done the bar is raised pretty high here....some of your were is S P E L L B I N D I N G !!!!!!
I came across your website through the earth shot picture. I have really enjoyed seeing your gallery. Your pictures are beautifully crisp and capture the light beautifully. I see that you used a canon 400D for the picture on the earth shot. Do you use this all the time? If so, what lenses do you use to get this level of clarity?
I am just starting out and shoot with the 400D too but have not had this level of success.
Based on your pictures, I am assuming you are in the states. Isn't the 400 called a rebel?
Thanks for sharing your images!
I had taken up photography and started to get frustrated at seeming to be unable to catch a "great shot". Just wanted to thank you for your inspiring work that has made me pick up the camera again.

Earth Shots--Blizzard Sunset
Fantastic photo! I've always been fascinated with weather--light, clouds, auroras, storms.........all of it. In California I once saw a rainbow in a dust storm--no camera with me of course. A few years ago, I saw a fog-bow--would have thought I was imagining it if I had not just bought a book about weather. Your flower shots are great also--keep up the good work!

Some fanatstic shots on your site and easy to navigate which always helps when viewing photography web sites. I am honoured that you have me under the work by friends section. I always enjoy your flower work as that's where I started a few years ago... Here is to the future.
Your friend - HH
Holly, I thoroughly enjoyed perusing your website, discovered when EarthShots chose Blizzard Sunset for their Photo of the Day today. Where in Canada are you? Look forward to more. ks
HI Holly Wow! You are terrific. Really pleased you are doing so well and enjoying it. Congratulations again on such nice work Harry
Your website is terrific. Not only is it good photography but it is a learning experience for the best photographer. Your explanation of the use of light to enhance even the most modest of scenes is so real as proved by your sample pictures.Love Dad
Hi Holly, i love the new site, your pictures look great, looking forward to seeing some new stuff as the Canadian winter turns to spring. Best wishes from accross the pond. Mark
Holly my friend, this is a wonderful website. Set out most professionally to showcase your wonderful images. You are one of my favourite photographers who knows how to capture light and subject in a most unique way.
Saved to favourites so I can come back again and again for inspiration.
Your Kentish pal, 'eyes'
Nice work Holly Jean. It brings great joy to my heart to see the love and skill this effort has brought forth. It's a wonderful thing to find something you truly love in life.
Your webpage is beautiful. The dark charcoal background really makes your outstanding images stand out! hahaha - this is excellent! What a good job you did with this. I'll save this in my favorites!
